Every few years the Australian Championships rotates to Queensland, and is hosted by Gold Coast or Brisbane.
There is a Queensland Championships every year, alternating between Brisbane and Gold Coast clubs.
There is a Brisbane Spring tournament every year held by Brisbane as their club and city championship.
There is a Gold Coast Classic every year held by Gold Coast as their club and city championship.
There is the Cecil Kuo Memorial held most years in memoriam for Cecil Kuo 1d, the first and most revered dan player in Queensland.
Most years there are the Mainland Chinese Society of Queensland Cup and the Jenny Yang Realty Tournament thanks to the generosity of the respective sponsors.
And of course the Queensland Go Society is proud to host the annual Australian Digital Go Tournament.
