The 44th Queensland Open will be held on the 17th of February, at Helensvale Library. First round is at 9:00am on the dot, with registration opening at 8:30am, and the draw occurring at 8:55am.
Yes, you are explicitly welcome to show up and participate, even if we’ve never seen you before! You’re welcome to come and just watch – if you’ll be eating lunch you can just pay us $10. We’re always happy to talk and answer questions in between rounds.
This will also include the Annual General Meeting for the Queensland Go Society, which includes, but is not limited to:
- The election of officials for the QGS (all positions open this year)
- The election of the Supreme High Overlord for the Brisbane Go Club
- Discussion about what happened over the last year and what needs doing over the coming year in the sport of go in Queensland
